August of Speed
Finally , I get some time to post some updates . This is one of the more hectic phases in my life with the pile on my pleate often being really more than I was designed to handle . But on a cheerful nore , I have'nt fallen apart altogether and have managed and coped quite satisfactorily so far, if I may say so , but it will all be defined by the end , as the saying goes .. !! Well more on the non FS story later . Coming up soon will be the story of NorthSea Charter mission to Singapore from Hong Kong in a Lockheed Constellation C69 . This turned out to be a 5.8 hour Odyssey but well enjoyed. The accoount will have a review of the Just Flight Constellation recently released slipstreamed in it .Hope this is the beginning of what I hope to be a long haul prop tour .Will get back with more details soon . Till then enjoy the screenshots of the month for Augst . Yes this will be a new feature that I will continue every month .
Cheers :)

Welcome The Queen
Yes , she works .. finally !! On this magnificient morning I am happy to announce that we have successfully flight tested the PMDG 747X to be introduced to our fleet . This majestic bird will fly for us now .The test flight over Friday Harbor will be memorable due to many reasons , some of which we cannot document here, but it will suffice to say that this is a landmark event . Now I have a new challenge to master , a new ( long awaited ) bird to fly and new long hauls to do .Three Greens and keep the sunny side up :) !!

The Wilco A330 redeems itself
I have had a long and often bittersweet relationship with the Wilco Airbus series. I will elaborate more on that soon.It went to the extent of me getting frustrated and completely
decommissioning the type from the NorthSea fleet altogether . But recently after a chat with my colleague and a noteworthy figure in the Indian Flightsimming scene ,Mr. Ajith Menon ( you can catch him in the virtual skies of IVAO ) , I decided to give the Wilco Airbus Longhaul series a try again . And lets say the results far exceeded expectations . This was a proving flight to test the aircraft systems as to how it performs before it can be re-deployed in fleet services .The flight was with 0 pax and a complementary load of cargo as a freight run from Male Intl in Maldives to Bangalore . We were carrying a consignment of servers used in a local bank that are scheduled to be schedule serviced in the Indian IT City. The Aircraft is an ex-Qantas bird leased to NorthSea but still in its old colors ( which it will for some more time to come ) . Pictured above is NorthSea 1 in Male Intl.

Above shown is the flight in progress with the bird aruising at Fl320 though we had clearance to an optimum of Fl370 . We decided not to climb further as this was a relatively short flight . On the right and the third pic we see our flight hitting the Indian shores with some monsoon evidently in progress over Trivandrum kerala.

I have to admit that the flight was flawless. part of it because by now I was fairly well versed with some of its eccentricities in terms of speed restriction management by the FMGC (which )is still not impressive but in other flight regimes the plane excelled. While on approach at Bangalore Intl (VOBG ) a CatIII autoland was executed which went through with clock work precision all the way through descent , flare . touchdown and rollout. From a saved point while on final the same approach was handflown again by me and just following the flight director was enough for a smooth touchdown. The servers were delivered on schedule ( and in onepiece :p) .Save for any future unexpected and nasty surprises the plane is back in favor so many long missions for this beauty awaits . Next deployment of this airframe will be in the ongoing Around the World in 80 Flights Worldtour where it is expected to share space with a soon to be inducted A340 in the NorthSea fleet. 3 Greens and Keep the Sunny side Up !!

Goodbye :(
Well , as a second post the tone is a little too grim but it is indeed appropriate . Today is the day after of Michael Jackson passing away after a cardiac arrest . With the passing of years I had long moved away from the typical pop music . But those childhood years were indeed spent listening to Bad, Beat it and Give in it to me . Those tracks can still stop me dead in my tracks even if these days I barely listen to sonthing other then Trance and Prog . Those tracks drip nostalgia and drag you back to those sunny juvenile afternoons still ensconced in the security of your home in the care of your parents , times when nothing could go wrong . Another idol of such a time is gone :( Goodbye MJ ,RIP wherever you are . Seldom has our heart felt so heavy at the loss of a person who in the remotest way was not related to our lives , or was it ... ?

To quote Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page ) a Blog can be defined as follows :A blog (a contraction of the term "weblog")[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), and audio (podcasting). Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, featuring very short posts.
As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs.[2
Unquote .
Obviously , I am quite late to join this bandwagon . But I decided to give it a shot nevertheless . I intend to use this space to express my passions for the many things in life that often gives rise to an urge of preserving those moments so that I can one day go back to them for, if not anything else , but just a second look . I expect that the hurdles that I am facing this very moment in getting this started will be soon overcome with the fluidity in thoughts that I expect will be a takeaway from this entire endeavour . It is quite possible that some of you who may read this ( if somebody actually does ) will find this entire passage so far to be quite stiff and fragmented but this is my first post on my first blog ever for crying out loud !! ( lets admit it , I just read the whole thing and I think it is the most horrible first post ever ) .
Amongs the many things that this Blog will focus on , the principal will be my hobby of Flight Simming . It will also talk about things that are bothering me ( or things that are making me happy at that moment :p ) . At the moment of starting this it is a lazy Saturday afternoon here in Bangalore India , the weather outside is dull , GRAY and rainy :( , and if that was not enough , I am at work with 80 % of my Shift still ahead of me . But as to all dark clouds this one does have a Silver lining too . Now you know what this Blog is intended to be . So without much further adieus lets get started and click on to get the first post online .
